The Cambrian School District and the California School Employees Association, Chapter 641, enter into a Memorandum of Understanding regarding Article 7.2, the declaration of day of mourning.
On December 30, 2024, the President declared a National Day of Mourning to honor the life of former President Jimmy Carter on January 9, 2025. Since January 9, 2025, was a scheduled school day, classified staff could not accommodate the impromptu holiday. The Cambrian School District and the California School Employees Association, Chapter 641, agree that April 7, 2025, will be a paid holiday for all classified employees during the 2024-25 school year to honor the National Day of Mourning. |

Staff recommends that the Governing Board acknowledge the Memorandum of Understanding - National Day of Mourning between the Cambrian School District and the California School Employees Association, Chapter 641, as part of the Consent Agenda. |
