Summary:

The District is interested in entering into an exchange agreement with Engstrom Properties, Inc. for the approximately 0.55 gross acres of improved land located at 720 Curtner Avenue in San Jose, commonly known as the Firehouse Property.
In order to complete the desired property exchange for the Firehouse Property, the District intends to enter into an agreement with Engstrom Properties, Inc. (“Exchange Agreement”).
Education Code Section 17536 allows the Governing Board of Trustees of the District to exchange any of its real property for real property of another person or private business. Education Code Section 17537 requires that the Board of Trustees of the District adopt, by a two-thirds vote of its members, a resolution declaring its intention to exchange the property.
Following the adoption of this Resolution 21-22-08, the District will complete the negotiation of an Exchange Agreement for the Firehouse Property with Engstrom Properties, Inc. |
