On March 3, 2022, the Board awarded MBS Engineering the Plumbing Trades Contract for the HVAC Project at Bagby, Fammatre, and Price Middle School based on their low bid. Due to excessive existing underground utilities and tree root systems, gas lines needed to be significantly rerouted resulting in a 13% increase over the original contracted amount. A Resolution is required to continue with MBS Engineering. It has been concluded that their costs are reasonable and going out to rebid the project would delay the project and result in unnecessary expenses to the District. |

Staff recommends the Governing Board to approve Resolution 22-23-03 and allow Cambrian to continue working with MBS Engineering and complete the Plumbing Trade Services for Phase 1 Modernizations at Bagby Elementary School, Fammatre Elementary School, and Price Middle School. |
