On March 17, 2022, the Board awarded O.C. McDonald Co. Inc. the HVAC Trades Contract for the HVAC Project at Farnham and Sartorette based on their low bid. Due to the revised orientation of new condensing units to allow for necessary maintenance access, the job required additional refrigerant lines, insulation, protective aluminum jackets, and associated labor costs to meet the school start deadline. The revisions resulted in a 16.96% increase over the original contracted amount. A resolution is required to continue with O.C. McDonald Co. Inc. It has been concluded that their costs are reasonable and going out to rebid the project would delay the project and result in unnecessary expenses to the District. |

Staff recommends the Governing Board to approve Resolution 22-23-11 and allow Cambrian to continue working with O.C. McDonald Co. Inc. and complete the HVAC Services for Phase 1 Modernizations at Farnham and Sartorette Elementary Schools. |
