Summary:
|
The Cambrian School District in conjunction with our Auditor, Chavan and Associates, llp requests an extension of the 2022-2023 Financial Audit from December 15, 2023 to January 31, 2024. The District’s Controller left the District for another job in September 2023, just before the fall audit visit was scheduled. With new staff not in place, the auditor delayed their visit by 40 days. Additionally, this being the first year of the new Auditor, there is more data to collect for the first time. Therefore, the Auditor and District staff agree that a delay to January 31, 2024 is appropriate.

Staff recommends that the Governing Board approve the request to extend the 2023-2024 District’s Financial Audit from December 15, 2023 to January 31, 2024 and authorizes the Superintendent and Chief Financial Officer to request the extension from the Santa Clara County Office of Education.
