Ms. Maggie Spehar, Director of Student Services, and Mrs. Cindy Ponce, Program Specialist of Student Services, will share an overview of the Comprehensive Safety Plan for each school site. The comprehensive school safety plans are a collection of procedures for schools to utilize in the event of an emergency, and provides guidelines which promotes a safe learning space for all.
California Education Code sections 32280-32289, requires all California public schools serving Transitional kindergarten through eighth grade with over 2,500 students develop a comprehensive school safety plan. |

Staff recommends that the Governing Board approve the Site Comprehensive Safety Plans for each school site and allow them to be available to the public. |
